East Meets West: An Exploration of Meditation

Listen to a summary on the the latest research on the neuroscience of meditation at Luma Yoga, Friday April 20, 7:15-9:15PM by Dr Steven Macramalla. Recent neuroscience research explains how centuries old traditions of meditation improve attention, emotional regulation and physical health. The talk will be interactive, with exercises, and is open to people of all levels in meditation. Sifu Macramalla has taught Chien-Lung for over 20 years, and in addition has been a personal fitness and marathon trainer, yoga and nutrition consultant. He holds a Ph.D. in Cognitive Psychology from UCSC, and is currently teaching at San Jose State University. He was born in Montreal, and began his martial arts training in 1990 in British Columbia under Constantine Darling.
