Today’s Practice, squats while breathing in short bursts, releasing tension, letting the muscles relax, letting the fascial tissue tone and mold.
Held the push-up position, straight arm for five full minutes. Every day of this practice brings insight and greater stability: today, it was a deep contraction, deeper than usual, in area of the belly button and same area at the back, like there is a tent pole pushing it up, and a wire pulling the back up from there. I always try for this, but today it was distinctly strong.
The sensation transferred up higher the back (the middle and upper back — lower, middle and upper ming-meng or ‘melons’).
While doing this I paid attention to relaxing tension from the arms.
There spontaneously arose a flow of attention which traveled the outside hard working ‘yang’ of the body on the in breath and down the inside ‘yin’ skin on the out breath which dissipated the tension built by the yang side. That felt good and sustainable.
Again all this was permeated with burst breathing, and the melon work.
